About the Position🛰️

The selected candidate will join Arkadia’s growing operations team and play a key role in ensuring compliance, reliability, and traceability across the company’s engineering, manufacturing, and testing activities. The Quality Engineer will contribute directly to the development and implementation of Arkadia’s Product and Quality Assurance Plan, with special focus on the certification of the company under AS 9100 standards. 

This role requires both a hands-on approach and system-level thinking, supporting internal processes and interfacing with suppliers, auditors, and institutional stakeholders.


What you'll be doing 

  • Lead the definition and the implementation of the company’s Product and Quality Assurance Plan
  • Lead the implementation and certification process of AS 9100 in collaboration with all relevant departments
  • Define internal processes and procedures ensuring its implementation across the organization, including liaison with propulsion team to define and implement corresponding testing processes and procedures  
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits with certification bodies and customers 
  • Develop and execute measurement plans based on engineering drawings and GD&T requirements  
  • Perform dimensional inspections of machined and fabricated components using  
  • Ensure quality requirements are met across the product lifecycle: from design to testing and delivery 
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCR), root cause analyses, and implement corrective/preventive actions 
  • Definition and execution of inspection protocols and related KPIs and quality processes in manufacturing and integration activities 
  • Perform firstarticle inspections (FAI) and routine audits, monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and technical requirements 
  • Promote a quality-oriented culture across all teams through training and continuous improvement initiatives   


What you'll need 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline 
  • Experience in quality assurance or quality engineering roles in the aerospace or high-tech sectors 
  • Familiarity with AS 9100, ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management standards. Knowledge of quality tools and metrics for inspection, verification and validation. 
  • Strong understanding of dimensional metrology concepts, calibration procedures and traceability  
  • Familiarity with metrology tools and equipment like coordinate measuring machines (CMM), laser scanners, micrometers and other precision instruments.  
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate in an international environment  
  • Proactive mindset and strong attention to detail   


Nice to have 

  • Prior involvement in a AS 9100 certification process
  • Experience working with ECSS quality standards and requirements  
  • Previous work in quality assurance related to propulsion systems 
  • Experience with Odoo ERP 
  • Fluent in Spanish
