👨🚀About the Position🛰️
As a Financial Controller at Arkadia, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial robustness of the company by overseeing financial planning, controlling and analysis across all business activities, from project/product development to product commercialization.
You will be responsible for the financial management and monitoring of operations during the following areas:
Financial planning and budgeting, helping in the preparation and maintenance of budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans aligned with Arkadia’s strategic objectives.
Financial controlling and analysis, monitoring costs, revenues and margins across projects and business units, ensuring financial performance is tracked, and deviations are identified and addressed.
Grant preparation and management, contributing to the preparation of financial sections of national and European funding proposals, defining project budgets, cost structures and financial plans, and supporting the financial reporting and justification of awarded grants.
Project financial management, supporting the financial monitoring of R&D programs, industrialization activities and commercial contracts, ensuring proper allocation of costs, assets, amortizations, depreciations, grants and investments.
Reporting and compliance, preparing internal financial reports for management and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, grant requirements and regulatory obligations.
Process improvement and financial systems, contributing to the optimization of financial processes, tools and data structures to support scalable growth and accurate decision making.
What you'll need
MSc or BSc in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in financial controlling, financial planning or corporate finance, ideally in a technology driven or industrial environment.
Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis using Excel or similar tools.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
Understanding of cost structures, project accounting and margin analysis.
Experience preparing financial sections of public funding proposals or managing grants, ideally within national or European programs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with financial reporting, accounting standards and compliance requirements.
Experience working in multidisciplinary environments, collaborating with technical, operational and management teams.
Comfortable taking ownership in fast paced, growing organizations.
Spanish is a must
Advanced Spanish and English, spoken and written.
Nice to have
Experience in the space sector, aerospace industry or other high technology environments.
Experience working with publicly funded R&D projects or European and national grant programs.
Familiarity with financial management of engineering or industrial development projects.
Experience with ERP systems, ideally Odoo or similar financial and operational platforms.
Knowledge of accounting frameworks and financial reporting practices.
Experience supporting audits, grant justifications or financial due diligence processes.
Familiarity with fast growing startup or scale up environments.
